Monk Artemis 7x50 ZIF

The Monk Artemis is probably the lightest and smallest fully waterproof 7x50 binocular on the market today – designed originally for military use where optical performance, durability and compactness are the main criteria. The solid die-cast aluminium body and all-metal parts enable the binocular to be incredibly tough and durable yet very compact in design. It also has positive and excellent handling characteristics and sturdy prism caging ensures accurate and reliable collimation.

Features
• 95% light transmission from fully multicoated optics results in pin sharp images and true colour rendition;
• Compact and ergonomic design for high comfort during prolonged use;
• Lightweight (only 912g);
• Military design die-cast aluminium body offers both durability and reliability;
• Fully waterproof with dry nitrogen purging to prevent moisture penetration;
• Large ocular lens with very long eye relief (23.5mm) gives excellent results when used with or without spectacles;
• Porro-prism design with BaK4 prisms provides exceptional clarity and high contrast;
• Tremendous depth of field (very little focussing required);
• Available in individual eyepiece focus (optimum strength and durability).

Whilst this binocular is perfect for general use it is particularly recommended for the following;

Hunting
The combination of the lightweight ergonomic design with maximum light transmission makes this binocular particularly suitable for use at dawn and dusk. The high-resolution image also features excellent contrast for easy perception of detail.

Sailing
The compact lightweight design makes handling easy, whilst high light transmission and excellent contrast ensure high quality images at all times of day. The binocular is fully waterproof and dry nitrogen purged for guaranteed performance in all weather conditions.

Military
The svelte proportions of this binocular together with its light weight (only 912g) and rugged design make it perfect for military applications where a high quality image coupled with maximum light transmission and fatigue free viewing is essential. The sealed optics with dry nitrogen purging prevent moisture penetration and enable this binocular to be used in all weather conditions. The high quality optics are complimented with sturdy prism cages and a full rubber armouring to guarantee precise alignment of the images and high resistance to all but the hardest knocks. A graticule with rangefinder is available as an option with this binocular.

Birdwatching
The impressive clarity with true colour rendition make this binocular particularly suitable for bird and nature watchers. The 50mm objective lens and multicoated optics return a superb performance, whilst the rugged compact design and full waterproofing ensure comfortable viewing and easy carrying when used for long periods. The wide field of view and steady image afforded by 7x magnification makes finding and tracking moving wildlife and birds in flight extremely easy.

Conclusion

Priced at £195 including a soft case, this binocular represents some of the finest optics we have had the joy of selling – particularly at this price level. It is very unusual to pick up a binocular that fits perfectly in hand, has immediate impact with its optical clarity and brightness and only weighs 912g, without sacrificing its durability, mechanical performance or light transmission.

Never before has a binocular had so much to offer for such a wide variety of applications – from the toughest military assignment to following the winning horse in the Royal Box at Ascot.
