First impressions count
Your first glance through this bi-ocular telescope will have immediate impact because of its optical clarity and ease-of-use. By using the centre focusing wheel for both eyes the image snaps into sharp focus across the full field of view with outstanding contrast and good light transmission. The Cyclops ability to focus down to 6m at 26x magnification can only be described as breathtaking, when viewing birds and wildlife for the most detailed clarity imaginable. Long-distance viewing will have equally outstanding performance, enabling the user to easily follow moving boats and crafts with its wide angle of vision and fast focusing, bringing objects into detailed vision quickly.
It all seems so very simple why hasn't it been done before?
To convert a telescope into a bi-ocular scope requires a beam splitter that splits the light equally to both eyes from the objective lens. This process is difficult and expensive to do; consequently cost has been too prohibitive to be viable, so telescopes with just one lense have been the only choice until now (other than very expensive, heavy and bulky giant binoculars). At Monk Optics we have been involved with the research, development and design, optimising a unique product over the past two years and we are now proud to be the exclusive suppliers of this highly recommended and affordable bi-ocular telescope.
Which model to choose?
90mm Cyclops Bi-ocular telescope
If you are looking for performance, compactness and value for money then we would recommend the Cyclops 90mm bi-ocular telescope. It comes complete with 26x eyepieces for optimised magnification, brightness and field of view. By unscrewing the beam splitter and taking out the eyepieces the complete unit can be packed away in its soft carry case which fits into its own aluminium case. This model is ideally suited for the ornithologist on the move where prolonged use is envisaged in hides or in wildlife parks.
110mm Cyclops Bi-ocular telescope
We recommend this model for static positions in the home or office where panoramic views can be appreciated and enjoyed. To show off its unique design and fine lines the adjustable pole stand is most suited. The model comes complete with interchangeable 26x and 47x eyepieces for maximum power and performance. By unscrewing the beam splitter and taking out the eyepieces the complete unit can be packed away in its soft carry case which fits into its own aluminium case.
Don't take our word for it - try it for yourself
We make no fancy promises about it being the world's most powerful binocular/telescope or the world's most compact high-powered telescope, we simply offer sensible magnification with a good-sized objective lens for good light transmission that allows the same clarity and detailed vision 26x greater than the naked eye. We will send either model out on approval so that you can experience for yourself what makes this Cyclops so special and why confidence can be assured when buying from the specialists. We only sell binoculars- it's our life, it's our living.
So now you want a Cyclops but what about the tripod!
This is when you know you are dealing with the specialists - we have put as much time selecting, perfecting and designing 2 optional tripods as we have selecting and perfecting the Cyclops. We offer a strong, light weight rigid tripod that guarantees a steady image, and a specially selected semi fluid mount for smooth and precise panning facilities. Alternatively for those requiring a more streamlined and minimalist look we have designed our own in-house gas-assisted, height-adjustable pole stand, that has full adjustment for seated or standing position.
